4 Axis CNC Mini-Mill Build

Update on the mill

During the last 2 weeks I have had the chance to do some work on the mill in my new workshop. With my brothers help I have managed to build a good solid 1200 x 2400 steel workbench, and have started construction of a pedestal and frame for the X3 mill.
All controller components have now arrived, and construction of the controller housing has begun.

CNC bits arrive!

One of my hobbies is making CNC machines (as of today!), so I was excited to receive the box of hardware needed to turn my X3 mill into a 4 axis CNC machine. I have been researching this build for about 10 months, so to finally have the bits in my hands is pretty satisfying.

The hardware kit I went with is from a company called Promica, run by a guy who builds all the kits on a machine he has converted with one of his own kits. Very impressive.
